There is no place for abuse at sea

Working on a yacht can be extremely demanding. Long hours. Very high expectations. Pressure. Living and working together in a confined space.

None of these are an excuse for abuse though. Not through words. Not through actions. Not through intimidation. Not through unwanted behaviour of any kind.

Professionalism is built on respect. Not fear.

Abuse has no place on board. Whether it comes from the top. A colleague. Or anyone else. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. Everyone deserves to feel safe. Safe to ask questions. Safe to admit mistakes. Safe to learn. Safe to be themselves.

Because the strongest teams are built on trust. Not fear.

Professionalism is not just about the work we do. It is about how we treat one another.
